Multimedia Collection

The Multimedia Collection include CDs, VCDs, DVDs, Blu-ray discs, USB drive, etc.

Course Reserve Collection

There are high-demand materials reserved by the academic staff for a particular course. These materials are placed in the 3/F Special Collection.

Users can borrow them for 3 hours but it is restricted to use them inside the Library only.

Special Collection

The Special Collections include annual reports, research papers, overseas documents, student reports and teaching references that are kept at 3/F and 6/F closed stacks.

Annual reports are shelved in open stack located at the end of the bound journal area. Research papers, overseas documents and student reports are kept in the 3/F Special Collection.

These materials can be borrowed for 3 hours and to be used within the library.

Journals – Current Issues


The latest issue is shelved on the top while the other current issues are shelved inside the stack.

All current issues are for Library use only.

Bound Journals

Bound journals with prefix PRP or LP are shelved at 3/F and 4/F law library. For the borrowing privilege of bound journals, please refer to Loan Quota and Period.

Information Counter

If readers have difficulties in locating journals and special materials, or using computers, please make enquiries at this counter.
All materials of special collections should be borrowed or returned at this counter.

Express Printing Station

Users can quickly print out their materials by using the Express Printing Station.

PC Workstations

Adobe software are installed in 2 iMacs and 3 PCs. Users can also use the book scanner to speed up the scanning process. A PC installed with Bloomberg Terminal is located here as well.

Current Newspapers

These are the daily newspapers. The other newspapers (within 1 month) are put on the adjacent racks. The bound newspapers (within 1 year) are shelved at the back on the 3/F.
Alternatively, if you are looking for newspaper articles within recent years (1998-), you can use “WiseNews” online databases to search them.

Newspapers (Back Issues)


These are the back-issue newspapers. If you cannot find the required back-issue newspapers, please make requests at the 3/F Information Counter.

Study Carrels


Please keep quiet and be considerate to others. For group discussions, please visit the discussion area at the 5/F and the 6/F.

SEN Corner

The SEN Corner support students with special learning needs during their study. It is equipped with the specialised equipment, such as Computer with NVDA (Text-to-speech software), Braille Display, Braille Embosser (Printer), as well as Desktop Video Magnifier.
