Most of the electronic databases and online services to which the Library subscribes are accessible in both the Library and at home.
A. Library Databases
To cope with users’ information needs and to keep the library collection up-to-date followed by the rapid expansion of publications in every discipline worldwide, the Library establishes an e-collection that can be searched via Discover@ShueYan, the Library searching platform, or databases. Currently, over 2 million e-books and 60 thousand e-journal titles are available.

B. e-Resources Workstations
The software of Bloomberg Terminal, Refinitiv Eikon and 《文淵閣四庫全書電子版》網上版 are installed inside 3/F Multi-Workstations respectively. Reservations could be made by HKSYU students and staff 2 hours in advance per day via the Room/Workstation Booking system.
i) Bloomberg Terminal & Refinitiv Eikon
For those who would like to use Bloomberg Terminal & Refinitiv Eikon, users may come to the Library 3/F Multi-Workstations.
ii) 《文淵閣四庫全書電子版》網上版
Apart from using the software in the Library Workstations, users could find the user guide and install the software on their own PCs. There are 3 concurrent users under the license subscriptions.
C. HKSYUtube
Since 2006, the Library has provided recorded local TV programs from three free TV broadcast companies (ATV, TVB, and ViuTV). Programs are mainly subjected to news and public affairs. For effective preservation and easier access for Library users, converted into online streaming videos through HKSYUtube for online viewings.
D. Institutional Repository
Institutional Repository is a digital service that collects, preserves and disseminates research material. It is an important knowledge management tool for capturing the intellectual vitality of scholars in the University and facilitating scholarly communication.
