A. Wireless LAN
Hong Kong Shue Yan University Library is pleased to offer wireless Internet access to patrons with wireless-enabled devices. Patrons can access the Internet with their notebook computers on G/F and 2/F – 6/F of the Library.

B. PC Workstations
83 PC workstations with printing function on 2/F to 6/F offer free access to the Internet, online databases and library searching platform.
Library users can also make use of Microsoft Office to create Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents.
Data analysis and accounting software such as SPSS, DacEasy, MYOB are installed in workstations.
The printing guidelines are available next to each photocopying/printing machine.
Two iMacs are available in 3/F on a first-come-first-served basis.
Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat DC, and Dreamweaver) and Microsoft Office are available on the iMacs. And those are connected to the printers in the Library.

C. Photocopying / Printing / Scanning
Multi-function printers are located on 2/F to 6/F. Copying and scanning of materials in any format may be illegal without the copyright owner’s permission.

D. Notebook Computers & Tablets
Three notebook computers and five tablets are available for same-day loan to Staff, Postgraduates & Research Assistants and Undergraduates & International Foundation Year Programme (IFYP) Students.
They are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Users can borrow one notebook or tablet at one time at the 3/F Information counter. They must be returned on the same day.
The loan policy is as below:

Please note that the user is fully responsible for any damage or lost.
Since reborn software is installed in the notebook, user files stored in the hard disk will be erased when PC is rebooted. Please copy your file to a USB flash drive or cloud before switching off the notebook.
