New database: SAGE Research Methods Suite

Below is the new database which could be accessed via library website.
1. SAGE Research Methods Suite
SAGE Research Methods Suite (SRM Suite) includes SAGE Research Methods (SRM), SAGE Research Methods Cases (SRMC) and SAGE Research Methods Datasets (SRMD).
SAGE Research Methods is a research methods tool created to help researchers, faculty and students with their research projects. SAGE Research Methods links over 175,000 pages of SAGE’s renowned book, journal and reference content with truly advanced search and discovery tools. Researchers can explore methods concepts to help them design research projects, understand particular methods or identify a new method, conduct their research, and write up their findings. Since SAGE Research Methods focuses on methodology rather than disciplines, it can be used across the social sciences, health sciences, and more.
SAGE Research Methods Cases is a collection of case studies of real social research that faculty can use in their teaching. Cases are original, specially commissioned, and designed to help students understand often abstract methodological concepts by introducing them to case studies of real research projects.
SAGE Research Methods Datasets is a collection of teaching datasets that can be used to support the teaching and independent learning of quantitative and qualitative analytical methods used in the social sciences. These are datasets taken from larger national and international data sources, cleaned and reduced in size and complexity for teaching and self-study purposes, perfect for researchers learning a new method or brushing up on an old one.

New databases: EThOS: e-theses online service ; Scopus; EBSCO: Humanities Full Text (H.W. Wilson); Emerald Marketing eJournal Collection

Below are the new databases which could be accessed via library website.
1. EThOS: e-theses online service (open access)
EThOS is the UK’s national thesis service which aims to maximize the visibility and availability of the UK’s doctoral research theses.
It demonstrates the quality of UK research, and supports the UK Government’s open access principle that publications resulting from publicly-funded research should be made freely available for all researchers, providing opportunities for further research.
There are approximately 400,000 records relating to theses awarded by over 120 institutions. Around 160,000 of these also provide access to the full text thesis, either via download from the EThOS database or via links to the institution’s own repository. Of the remaining 240,000 records dating back to at least 1800, three quarters are available to be ordered for scanning through the EThOS digitisation-on-demand facility.
2. Scopus
Scopus is the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature: scientific journals, books and conference proceedings. Delivering a comprehensive overview of the world’s research output in the fields of science, technology, medicine, social sciences, and arts and humanities, Scopus features smart tools to track, analyze and visualize research.
3. EBSCO: Humanities Full Text (H.W. Wilson)
Humanities Full Text provides full text, abstracts and bibliographic indexing of the most noted scholarly sources in the humanities, as well as specialized magazines. This database encompasses all key fields of the humanities, covering topics including art, classical studies, dance, film, journalism, philosophy, religion and much more. Content includes feature articles, interviews, obituaries and original works of fiction, drama, poetry, and reviews.
4. Emerald Marketing eJournal Collection
This Emerald Marketing eJournal Collection is one of the largest peer-reviewed collections in the world featuring globally recognized authors and advancing into new areas with titles such as Journal of Social Marketing, Journal of Historical Research in Marketing and International Journal of Sports Marketing and Sponsorship.
With approximately one article downloaded every seven seconds, the collection includes established key titles indexed by Thomson Reuters (ISI) including the European Journal of Marketing, endorsed by the Academy of Marketing, the Journal of Services Marketing, International Marketing Review, and Journal of Business & Industrial Marketing.
