Special opening hours arrangement will be announced on the library's notice board at the G/F entrance and on the Library blog.

Opening arrangement during typhoon and Black Rainstorms
When Typhoon Signal No.8 or above, or a Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted:
  1. During the Library opening hours
    For Typhoon Signal No.8 or above
    The Library will be CLOSED 1 hour before issuance of the Typhoon Signal in accordance with the Pre-No 8 Special Announcement or CLOSED immediately when the Signal No. 8 or above is hoisted, whichever is earlier.
    For a Black Rainstorm Warning
    The Library will remain OPEN.

  2. Before the Library opening hours
    The Library will be CLOSED.
    The Library will remain closed if the Black Rainstorm Warning is cancelled/ Typhoon Signal No.8 or above is lowered on or after 4 pm of the day if the Library closes at 9 pm.
    The Library will remain closed if the Black Rainstorm Warning is cancelled/ Typhoon Signal No.8 pr above is lowered on or after 1 pm of the day if the Library closes at 7 pm.

  3. The Library will open as soon as possible within 2 hours after the Black Rainstorm Warning is cancelled or Typhoon Signal No.8 or above is lowered EITHER before 4 pm of the day if the Library closes at 9 pm OR before 1 pm of the day if the Library closes at 7 pm.
