Submit your request through Interlibrary Loan System
Interlibrary Loan Service provides teaching, learning and research support to HKSYU users by obtaining materials that are not held in the Hong Kong Shue Yan University Library. All academic staff and students are eligible to use this service.
Before submitting your requests, please check the Discover@ShueYan first as we do not process the requests which are held at HKSYU Library.
Request will be sent to local academic libraries in Hong Kong, including UGC-funded universities, CSIDS members and partner libraries.
What kinds of materials are available?
Book and photocopy of journal article are available for interlibrary loan.
What kinds of materials are not available?
Lending policies vary from institution to institution. In general, e-books, e-journals, reference materials, course reserve items, rare books, dissertations, theses, manuscripts, AV materials and items in special collections are not available for interlibrary loan.
How much will be charged?
The charges from the supplying libraries will be deducted from departmental funds in library. The charge of each request varies, subject to the local or overseas libraries’ ILL policies.

Where should I collect the requested materials?
The requester will be informed via email to collect the book or photocopy of journal article at 3/F Information Counter.
If article supplied by the lending library are in PDF format, we will send it to requester by email.
