
Research consultation is a scheduled appointment with our librarians for individualized, one-on-one assistance with library research: it is designed to assist you with the process and techniques that will enable you to conduct your research more efficiently and successfully.
All HKSYU undergraduate and postgraduate students are eligible for the Research Consultation Services. Our Librarians will assist you in:
1. developing effective research techniques
2. locating the information needed for your specific topic and assignment

Consultation sessions usually last for 1 hour. If needed, a follow-up appointment may be scheduled.

Complete and submit the Research Consultation Appointment Form to make an appointment with our Librarians at least two working days before each session time begins. You will then be contacted to confirm your appointment time. If you have not been contacted within 5 days, please call the Circulation and Information Services Section at 2806-5113.
Please note that you need to arrive on time for your appointment; report to the service counter on the 3rd floor of the Library. If you are late, your session time will be shortened and if you are late for 15 minutes or more, your session will be cancelled.
If you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment, please call the Circulation and Information Services Section at 2806-5113 as soon as possible so that your time can be allocated to someone else and so that your consultation may be rescheduled if it is still needed.
